He currently serves as the Senior Consultant, Professor, and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. Dr. Balasubramaniam completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from JIPMER, Puducherry, followed by MCh in Neurosurgery from NIMHANS, Bangalore, and DNB in Neurosurgery. He has been instrumental in introducing advanced surgical techniques, including deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease, image-guided neurosurgery, and endoscopic procedures for pituitary and intraventricular tumors.
